A Bad Night

A bad night is a short retro-FPS style game created as a final project for a game design university class at Trinity Western University. You play as a kid who finds trouble at school and falls asleep, only to find himself trapped in a nightmare. Will he be able to escape this daunting nightmare? Will he learn a thing or two in this short adventure? Help him get out.

This game was created with the purpose of "delight and instruct". For this, I chose the story of David vs Goliath, where we can see that the main teachings are to have faith, and not just in a bigger "being", but also to have faith in yourself that we are able to approach any obstacle. Another teaching comes from the "giants" in our lives; in this game, it comes from bullies, but every day as humans, we encounter different "giants" that we need to overcome. And finally to never underestimate yourself. In the game, the kid has a water gun, but it is still able to rise over the "shadow dudes".
