A worthy attempt, though falling somewhat short of the spirit of the game jam. The game is rather depressing, with not much in terms of interactions and mechanics. Though one could say the focus is the narrative. So ok, but Fun is a factor we are grading. Functionally, it is pretty good, though there are some places where there are no collisions when there should be. Some places where the exits and entrances aren't entirely clear. Creativity, the story and the environments definitely have hints of thought and creativity. But as far as the depth and the design goes - there was definitely room to go further. Thematic wise, it focuses a little too much on depression and ending ones life, than it does on the topic of Empathy. Particularly sad (probably intended), is the lack of hope and solutions for the character - which as humans and children of God, we should encourage hope and overcoming our struggles. Food for thought. Anyway, good start. I would like to see you go further with the upcoming jams.
The game felt well put together and was overall a good experience. Although the gameplay may have been slightly underwhelming, the effort put into the dialogue and the ending made it all worth it. I like stories that are slightly edgy. The abstract ending made it shocking, but it grabbed my attention, so good job!

Don't take my grading too hard; I thought that this was very well done. I can't call it a "fun" game on principle, since the theme is quite grim. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, far from it. The story is well done and straight to the point. It captures the monotony of depression very effectively. The interactions are pretty basic and I would have liked to see more integrations with variables and items, as well as dialog "thoughts" from interaction with random items to enhance immersion. Overall, I think you did a very good job with this and I could see you turning it into a very powerful emotional experience given more time to develop it.
I thought that this game was fairly basic, but I liked being able to move through the house and look at things. Sometimes I felt a bit confused where I was supposed to go in order to go to the next screen, and I was able to glitch myself out of where you were supposed to be once briefly. Part of the theme of this game felt pretty relatable to me, with feeling like you are trapped in your life and not enjoying things quite the same way you enjoyed them when you were younger.
Solid story, It's straightforward and easy to follow. The aesthetics match the vibe with the fully black and white screens and everything is clear to identify. Kind of missing some real "Gameplay" in this game but otherwise I think this is strong with an interesting ending.
